Well we finally have glass is those there windows and don’t it look good. The large window at the back gives loads of light into quite a long room with the side Velux roof window to cover once the sun moves round.
Now that that part of the roof is completely watertight I can continue to do the Celotex insulation. For this property we have to use 120mm & 12mm respectively. The 120mm goes into the joists with a air flow gap at the rear of 30mm. then it’s over the top of this with 12mm celotex and then plasterboard.
This is a requirement by the local authority to meet the U values for this area and type of house.
Next in are the door liners which need to be in before any plastering commences and there is also loads of noggins to go in to support the plasterboard.
Also fresh from Americas got talent the Baywatch beauty the Hoff has started with the plumbing – 4” waste pipes first then he’s inside for the 1st of 5 bathrooms…………….
