We had another visit today from Jim the Governor for a tad more of the pink stuff. With the changeable weather it’s been awkward for us both to sort a suitable day for him to get over.

The room we have made a good start in was Bed 4 and the en-suite. Some of this has been hit already but we have a varied wall surface ranging from “clinker” blocks, old stock bricks, plasterboard and solar blocks – very different drying times.


The Rocket is away again so we had to call on some colleges of his to move the tiling on regarding the last bits to the front – again because of the muck work its hit or miss weather wise. The vertical tiling on the porch upper side that joins the new brickwork has also been started – and don’t the tiles look good against the bricks!


This poor weather would also hinder “Sausage” finishing the flat roof ( 2 layers are done) and waterproof but no tope coat and Lolly getting some concrete blinding down for the paving – basically all go after a quiet couple of weeks, but it is summer holiday season!
