The plastering continues – today it’s the last of the board work in the loft area meaning now that its 95% finished up there, just waiting on the final pipe work. On the middle floor, there’s absolutely loads of hard wall and multi finish. This is a two coat system that dries rock hard and sticks great to the new solar block work giving a really smooth tough surface thanks to Jimbo and his groovy gang.
The drying time is usually about 3 days before paint can be applied even if it’s a mist coat (don’t believe DIY SOS) but as normal its British summer time so the heavens have opened again – some emergency guttering has helped slightly but we are still taking in water on the lower level as not all the windows and doors are in yet so drying time will increase – never mind.
