Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd July |
A very busy couple of days indeed with the Baywatch favorite the Hoff, busy running the Hep20 pipes to supply the shower, basin and loo in both the en-suite for bed 4 and for the main bathroom on the 2nd floor.
There will be underfloor heating but we will also have a towel radiator as a secondary heat source and somewhere to hang stuff and this will be on what’s called a primary circuit so we can call for heat without firing up the main heating.
The silver fox is tackling the very difficult roof for the rear bay window which is kind of a just see how it goes as this will be an awkward shape but will look great.
The loft is drying out nicely and I managed to get a mist coat on late Thursday evening, a mist coat tends to be just a little watered down matt emulsion which is soaked in very quickly but makes the next couple of coats sit better – there’s a lot to paint so I guess its evenings and weekends for a bit.
Final thing I got done was the preparation for the 1st underfloor heating mat to be fitted. Loads more about this Friday but the floor must be 18mm marine grade ply (or suitable tile board) securely fixed every 150mm with 60 mm screws and then coated with the recommended undercoat before fixing the mat…………..piccies to follow!
